what can you sail on ?

Below are the boat types that we use for sailing in the Grenadines.

Catamaran, Lagoon 42

The most spacious option there is in the world of sailing. Enormous (for sailboats) living area, large sunbathing net and deck, roomier cabins and often en-suite bathrooms offer the most comfort you can get for your money.

On this route we sail on a Lagoon 42 Catamaran: Built 2020, 12,80m long, it has a full batten main sail, 4 double cabins + 2 solo bow cabins, 4x WC/Shower, A/C, generator, inverter, water maker, stereo speakers inside and outside, USB sockets in every cabin as well as fans, dinghy, bed-linen, towels.

sailing Itinerary: Grenada, Grenadines, St. Vincent, ST. Lucia

We stay true to the discoverers’ spirit and plan our adventures accordingly to the winds, the weather and your wishes. This means the order as well as some of the stopovers may be different than presented below. Leave planning at home! The plan showed below is only an indicative itinerary and your trip may differ. Only mad (wo)men sail against the wind!

Day 1. St. George’s

Arrival in the capital of Grenada. Takeover of the yacht and purchase of food for the trip. Teamwork is the keyword here. You will be asked to contribute to the shopping list already before the trip so that we are prepared and organised from the start. In the evening when everything is stored on board we visit a local eatery and get to know each other a little better.

Day 2. The Four Islands

In the morning, we sail to the nearby Underwater Sculptures Park, a unique underwater art exhibition. Immerse yourself in the colourful world of sculptures created by artist Jason deCaires Taylor.

Afterwards we circle the active underwater volcano Kick-’em-Jenny and continue towards Carriacou, to four offshore and uninhabited islands: Large Island, Frigate Island West, Saline Island and White Island. These paradise islands offer beautiful beaches surrounded by palm trees.

Each of the four islands offers a sheltered anchorage for the night. We pick the least crowded. Here we can unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet on the secluded beaches. Colourful corals and tropical fish in crystal-clear water await us while snorkelling.

Day 3. Carriacou and Union Island

In the morning, we sail into Tyrell Bay on Carriacou, where we can stock up on provisions and complete the check-out formalities. We are entering leaving Grenada and next day we will enter St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Carriacou has a fascinating history – once inhabited by the Caribs, the island was colonized by Europeans in the 17th century. Today, Carriacou is an autonomous part of the island nation of Grenada and boasts a unique blend of African, European and indigenous influences.

Tyrell Bay offers a safe anchorage and is a popular meeting place for sailors. Here we can also gain our first impressions of the island’s culture and hospitality.

We then sail on to Union Island, one of the southernmost Grenadine Islands. Our destination is the idyllic Chatham Bay, a sheltered bay with restaurants and a long sandy beach. Here we can unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Chatham Bay offers a number of options for active vacationers: Short hikes up the surrounding hills promise breathtaking views over the bay and the Caribbean Sea. And if you want to explore the fascinating underwater world, snorkeling in the northwest of the bay is excellent. Union Island is known for its rich culture and tradition.

Whether shopping in Tyrell Bay, relaxing in Chatham Bay or exploring the island’s culture, Carriacou and Union Island offer an authentic Caribbean experience that we are sure to remember for a long time to come.

About Hurricane Beryl

Early in July 2024 hurricane named Beryl swiped through this area (Carriacou, Union Island) leaving a path of destruction. We are monitoring the situation and are aware of the challenging conditions that the local population is facing.

The houses will be rebuilt, the plants will regrow. In our opinion one of the better ways to support the local population with recovery from that disaster is to either directly send them resources or come, visit, and support the local businesses.

Additionally we are in touch with the local population and if you want to support them with gifts we will let you know what items are most needed at the time of departure.

We present here an Illustration of the area that was affected by the hurricane and the route that we are sailing on.

Day 4. Mayreau and Tobago Cays

We sail to Mayreau, one of the smallest inhabited islands in the Grenadines. Our destination is the idyllic Saline Bay or the equally beautiful Salt Whistle Bay. Both bays offer a picturesque backdrop with turquoise blue water, white sandy beaches and palm trees. In Salt Whistle Bay, we can enjoy the hospitality of the locals. There are small restaurants and stalls right on the beach where we can sample local specialties.

In the afternoon, we continue our journey to the Tobago Cays, an archipelago of five untouched islands. We anchor at a buoy or at anchor and indulge in culinary delights at the beach restaurant. The Tobago Cays are a truly magical place – the turquoise sea, the palm trees and the endless sandy beaches make you want to stay. Whether snorkeling in the fascinating underwater world or simply relaxing on the beach – the Tobago Cays offer a Caribbean paradise to discover and enjoy.

Day 5. Tobago Cays, Canouan and Bequia

In the morning, a true underwater paradise awaits us in the Tobago Cays. We snorkel amidst trusting turtles, rays and even stingrays. The diversity of species is overwhelming – on a dingy trip to the outer reef, we can discover up to 100 different species of fish and small reef sharks. The colourful underwater world is a dream for every snorkeller and diver. Here we dive into another world full of life and beauty.

In the afternoon, we sail over to Canouan and refuel in the luxurious Sandy Lane Yacht Club Marina. Our next destination is Bequia, one of the pearls of the Grenadines. We sail into Port Elizabeth, the island’s picturesque main harbour. Here we can stock up on fresh fruit, vegetables and other groceries. From Jack’s Beach Bar, an idyllic beach path leads directly into the centre of the village. The view over the bay from the bar is simply breathtaking and the kitchen offers delicious local specialities. A perfect place to round off the evening.

A bank for withdrawing money, other charming restaurants and small grocery shops await us in the village centre. Here we can unwind and enjoy the authentic flair of Bequia. Bequia has another special attraction in store for snorkelling fans: On the west side of the bay, there are two fascinating shipwrecks waiting to be explored. With a diving mask and snorkel, you can discover the colourful underwater worlds of these sunken ships. Finally, we anchor for the night in the sheltered bay of Port Elizabeth – a perfect starting point for exploring Bequia further.

Day 6. St. Vincent

After a four-hour sailing trip, we reach Chateaubelair North Bay on the island of St Vincent. This protected natural harbour is inhabited by friendly locals who give us a warm welcome. A half-hour hike takes us to two beautiful waterfalls hidden deep in the jungle. The sound of the water and the lush, green vegetation make us lose track of time for a moment. The majestic Soufrière volcano towers impressively over the island in the north.

A hiking trail leads us through green canyons and picturesque gardens up to the summit of the volcano. From up there, we enjoy a breathtaking view over the island and the Caribbean Sea. An experience not to be missed! In the evening, we stop off at the only restaurant in the village to savour Creole cuisine and the local Hairoun beer. We round off the day in the cosy atmosphere before making our way back to our anchorage.

St Vincent delights with its unspoilt nature and friendly inhabitants. Whether waterfalls, volcano hikes or enjoying the local specialities – here we can unwind and recharge our batteries for the next stages of our journey

Day 7. St. Vincent – St. Lucia

Early in the morning, we set off northwards to pass the impressive volcano Mont Soufrière. In the afternoon we finally reach the picturesque town of the same name, Soufrière on St Lucia, which lies at the foot of the two striking Pitons. The sight of these imposing mountain cones is truly breathtaking and promises a number of exciting excursions.

For the more adventurous, there is the opportunity to climb the small Piton – a rewarding challenge for climbers. Hiking enthusiasts, on the other hand, can conquer the large Piton and enjoy the breathtaking view over the bay of Soufrière from the top.

If you want to take it easy, the beautiful sandy beaches in the area are the perfect place to relax. And if you want to explore the underwater world, you are sure to get your money’s worth at the many great snorkelling spots.

All in all, a varied programme of volcano sightseeing, outdoor activities and nature enjoyment awaits us in Soufrière – a true dream for every Caribbean holidaymaker!

Day 8. St. Lucia

We use this day in St Lucia to enjoy all the sights and activities. In the afternoon, we will stop by Anse Chastanet. You can go ashore and then relax in the hotel for a few cocktails. The beaches on the left-hand side are particularly beautiful.

We can easily reach the volcano and the neighbouring Hotsprings bathing area by bus or taxi. Here we can relax in the sulphurous thermal springs and enjoy the healing effects of the minerals on our skin and joints. An alternative is a round tour of the island in a 4WD or a local colorful bus.

In the evening we sail to Anse Cochon for the night, a very quiet bay where there are also 2 shipwrecks at snorkelling depth. We sit back on the boat and enjoy the view of the sun going down. The cloud formations on the ocean are just increadible!

Day 9. Marigot Bay

After snorkelling, we sail to Marigot Bay where we drop anchor and spend the night in this beautiful bay. Dinner at the CHÂTEAU MYGO restaurant, which is right on the water and offers excellent cuisine at a good price.

We have done a lot in the last days, so this is a day for relaxing, doing nothing, and gathering energy for sailing back to Grenada.

Day 10. Direction South

Today we put in an extensive sailing day and find ourselves in St Vincent in Cumberland Bay in the evening. We anchor here and tie up with the stern to a palm tree. Friendly locals help us with this. In addition to the beautiful location of this bay, there is also a reasonably priced restaurant nearby. Taxi trips to other bays can also be organised from here.

Day 11. Captain Jack Sparrow

Our next destinations are some of the locations from the cult film “Pirates of the Caribbean” on St Vincent. Here we can follow in the footsteps of Captain Jack Sparrow and admire the picturesque buildings that served as the backdrop for the pirates’ adventures.

We then sail on to Young Island, a small private island off the coast of St Vincent. We go to one of the buoys and enjoy the idyllic atmosphere. There are numerous cosy bars and restaurants nearby, where we can experience the Caribbean way of life and hospitality at first hand. For a shore excursion, a visit to the capital Kingstown is a good idea. With the colourful minibuses, the so-called “Reggae Reggae Busses”, we reach the vibrant centre of the island in a short time. Here we can stroll through the lively street markets, sample local delicacies and take in the hustle and bustle.

Alternatively, we can take our dinghy to Fort Duvernette. The historic 18th century fortress is perched on a rock and offers an impressive view over the bay. A walk through the old walls allows us to immerse ourselves in the past and unwind.

Whether pirate romance, Caribbean flair or historic sites – there is plenty to discover on Young Island and the surrounding area. We enjoy the peace and quiet on board and the hospitality of the island before continuing our journey the next day.

Day 12. Mustique

From Young Island we sail on to Mustique, one of the most exclusive islands in the Caribbean. Mustique is a retreat for high society and is home to numerous villas and estates of the rich and famous. The island has a fascinating history. It was once an uninhabited island until it was bought by the Rothschild heirs in 1958 and developed into an exclusive holiday paradise. Today, Mustique is owned by the Mustique Company, which manages the island and only grants access to selected guests. We enter Britannia Bay, where the moorings and yacht clubs are located. Here we encounter a world of luxury villas, private yachts and elegant restaurants.

The locals who live and work on the island are always friendly and helpful. A visit to the world-famous Basil’s Bar, a meeting place for high society, is a must. Here we can enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the exclusive flair of the island. The next morning, we might go a tour of the island by golf cart to admire the magnificent villas and estates of the rich.

Mustique is an island of contrasts – on the one hand the luxurious ambience of the villa owners, on the other the friendliness and hospitality of the local population. We immerse ourselves in a world of exclusivity and (over?)perfection before continuing our journey through the Grenadines.

Day 13. Carriacou

Today our route takes us back to Carriacou, our first destination is Sandy Beach, a small uninhabited idyllic island. A true underwater world full of colourful corals and tropical fish awaits us here. We can go snorkelling here and enjoy the beauty of nature. The island is only sparsely overgrown and offers an idyllic retreat in the middle of the turquoise blue sea.

In the afternoon, we sail on to Tyrell Bay, where we have to clear in again. Here we also find well-stocked supermarkets where we can stock up on provisions for the last few days of our journey. We also anchor here before setting off for our next destination the following day.

Day 14. Return to Granada

Today is our last day of sailing, which takes us back to Grenada. We leave the paradisiacal islands of the Grenadines full of melancholy, but we take unforgettable memories with us. On the way to Grenada, we stop at a few crystal-clear bays to relax and unwind one last time. While snorkelling, we might spot one or two colourful sea turtles or a swarm of colourful reef dwellers.

Grenada, also known as “the spice island”, awaits us in the evening with its picturesque capital St. George’s. The island is known for its lush vegetation, spice plantations and colourful colonial architecture. Grenada was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1498 and was a British colony for a long time before gaining its independence in 1974. Today, Grenada is a favourite destination for sailors and nature lovers who want to enjoy the beauty of the island and the hospitality of the locals.

Arriving at the marina in St George’s, we look back on our unforgettable journey through the Grenadines. We got to know so many fascinating places, unique natural beauties and warm-hearted people. We will certainly remember this sailing trip for a long time to come. Unfortunately, tomorrow we will have to say goodbye, but we will take the magic of the Caribbean home with us in our hearts.

Day 15. St. George – farewell Spice Island!

Today is our last day in Grenada before we board our return flight in the evening and arrive in Europe the next day.

We use the morning for an extensive island tour to savour the beauty and diversity of Grenada to the full. Grenada, also known as the “Spice Island”, is a fascinating destination with an eventful history.

On our round trip, we discover the picturesque capital St. George’s with its colourful colonial architecture. We visit Grenada National Park, where we can admire the lush tropical vegetation and wildlife. A highlight is certainly the visit to the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, which are nestled in a lush jungle. Grenada is not only known for its natural and cultural treasures, but also for its spice plantations. We make a detour to the Belmont Estate, a historic cocoa and spice farm, where we learn more about the production of chocolate, nutmeg and spices. We also visit a rum distillery to take the Caribbean flavour home with us.

With all these impressions in our luggage, we finally board our return flight. Grenada made a deep impression on us with its beauty, hospitality and diversity. We will take unforgettable memories with us and will certainly return soon to discover even more of this fascinating island.

3rd time with Naleia - this time in my dream destination of Seychelles -and definitely not the last one! Naleia is not just another "sailing tour agency" but a community of like-minded people. Sailing with Naleia you get a chance of becoming a part of the crew and can learn from experienced skippers but also relax and explore your destination. Looking forward to the next trip!
My first sailing experience with Naleia was in the Seychelles and totally lived up to expectations. Great skipper (Gertjan), we got the sails up as much as the weather permitted, good chances to explore some of the islands from the sea and on land, easy going crew members and helpful information provided prior to starting the trip. Will definitely consider another trip in the future.
I came with curiosity and left with amazement 🤩. Our trip from the Mediterranean to Teneriffa surprised me with a warm welcome, the most fantastic people & an outstanding time on the water 🐬 🌟 🌊 👌. Sailing trips with Naleia are much morethan what I could put into words - thanks Dominik for this perfectly well organized Atlantic adventure ❤️❤️❤️ I would go again @ any time!!!!
Hadde en fantastisk uke med seiling i Kroatia. Absolutt til å anbefale både for nybegynnere og erfarne
I'm with Naleia since the very beginning.Sailing with them is, by far, my best holiday and sailing experience ever! You have to try it!
So far I have been on two trips with Naleia, one to Sicily in 2020 and one to Greece in 2022, and both were wonderful experiences. Naleia is not just some sailing holidays, but has its own spirit with interesting and kind people from all over the world, a dedicated owner, experienced and fun skippers and tons of fantastic memories: dolphins jumping, amazing sunsets, shooting stars, snorkeling with bioluminescent plankton, watching volcanoes, swimming under a rainbow...and of course a lot of fun sailing and learning more about it every time. Please continue with this amazing and unique portfolio!
Montenegro sailing trip with Naleia - Sep.22Pros : amazing and dedicated skippers (Edda is obviously the best 😉 ), great people, sailing learning, wounderful places.Cons : ... I lost at a darts game ?I had no previous sailing experience, just wanted to give it a try, my intention was also getting out of my comfort zone by living on a boat with unkown people during 7 days in a row ... it's a fail ! I've just found a new one, a better one !Thanks to Dominik and the Naleians, I feel so grateful for just being part of the trip; meet inpiring people, sail, learn, relax, eat, drink, share and enjoy !It's just the beginning for me, see you !
fantastic sailing experience! It is not only about sailing and learning but as well meeting great people and making new friends we keep meeting overtime!Well done Dominik! what you created is very unique and I believe we all value what you managed to do!
Amazing trips and amazing staff. Will definately go on many more trips with them. You will visit beautiful island, bays and places no matter where you go, learn how to sail and meet great people. At a fair price!
Had a great time sailing in Sardinia, great crew, excellent skippers, really good sailing. Like my previous sail with Naleia, learnt a lot and had a great time. Saw some nice places, swam a lot, enjoyed excellent food. Cannot recommend it enough for a thoroughly enjoyable week, definitely one of the best things I have done on my holidays!
I have sailed with Naleia in 2015 in Croatia from Makarska to Dubrovnik with team of international very friendly, open minded people I have never seen before. It was one of the best experiences I have made in my life. The trip was a very nice mix of well prepared points and free space for improvisation. Actually I wanted to join already in 2014, but due to my marriage, I had to skip it for a year... If I knew how good would it be, probably I had the wedding shifted 😉
What a great vibe, skilled and easy going skippers, good mix of people (age, origin etc.), sailing but also discovering towns, nature, swimming, snorkling...
An amazing life changing experience. Everyone in the community wants to learn how to sail and improve while sharing food and stories.Don't expect to do nothing and relax, you will be experiencing sailing first hand in a safe environment.
Fantastic trip. Can't wait to go again.
Naleia organizes amazing sailing holidays with like minded people. It's like going on holidays with life long friends. Good skippers, happy crews, great destinations.
I had a great time sailing in the Greek Cyclades with Naleia. Relaxed atmosphere on board. Lots of opportunities to get involved in sailing. The itinerary was also built around the interests of the crew. I would book with them again.
I had a great week sailing the Aeolian Islands with Naleia - volcanoes, undersea fumaroles, bioluminescent plankton, snorkeling, sunrises and sunsets, dolphins, excellent sailing. Just fantastic. Awesome experience, could not recommend it more.
I had an incredible week sailing the aeolian islands with Naleia. Snorkeling in beautiful bays with black sanded beaches, glowing Plankton at night, dining at the erupting Stromboli and dolphins jumping at sunrise- couldn’t have wished for more overflowing impressions in that week. Our skippers Dominic and Marc just added the extra top of sweetness with their empathic and fun personalities and professional skipper skills. Those few days where we had enough wind were beautiful and I felt super safe with our skippers teaching us about sailing. It was a great group experience as well since all fellow Naleians made up a lovely crew! I can absolutely recommend sailing with Naleia.
well run smallish organisation that attracts customers (from all over the world) who tend to be more interesting people to meet compared to most other crews one finds on charters that are of mostly only one nationaliity. Interesting itineraries, fun activities, excellent professional skippers who manage to convey a lot of theoretical and practical skills to the crews, and overall excellent value for money
nice blog
After my first experience in Brittany with Naleia I immediately got the 'love the sailing' virus! I managed to fight my see sickness and got back on board only few months later for a new great adventure in Greece.. a healthy cure against stress and bad thoughts, it takes out the best of you and gives you a quite unforgettable experience, together with a bunch of amazing new friends!!!
A great experience! You can learn a lot about sailing, but you can also chill, meet fun people and experienced skippers... good food, amazing views, dolphins, laughs.. what more?
10/10, pure Transcendence
Amazing organisation which gives you the "it's great to be alive" feeling where ever you travel. Skilled and fun skippers / organizers and wonderful co travelers to make friendships for life.

Very well organized trips with very charismatic skippers and diverse and open-minded fellow travelers.Very eco-minded.Traveling with Naleia made me more aware of how much plastic waste I generate and how important it is to reduce it.
Good planning, nice execution and an adaptable skipper. Couldn't have asked for more on my first sail trip. Cheers Dominik.
This year was the second time I sailed with Naleia and I cannot think of a better way to spend my vacation. Friendly international atmosphere, great professional skippers who not only teach you real sailing but also magically turn people who have just met into real crew 🙂 we spend time learning all the sailing jobs, having fun, sharing stories, cooking together, looking at the stars, exploring local land and sharing our common love for sea. Even if you never ever sailed before (which was my case), Naleia travel is a great way to enjoy it and actually learn a lot. Thanks Naleia & Dominik for the greatest week of my summer! I am definitely coming back next season. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had a great trip to Brittany with Naleia. It was my first sailing trip, so I learned a lot about sailing and practiced different yachting modes. I also enjoyed amazing views (especially on Houat island) and ate lots of tasty crepes with cider! Overall, life-changing experience!
Had an amazing experience crossing the Channel from Southampton to the Channel Islands with Naleia. The trip in an advanced tidal area was very well organised and prepared. The competent skipper involved everyone as much as wanted in all planing and execution and guided the crew to improve their sailing skills. Had a very fun week with good people sharing the passion for sailing. Good concept, good vibes. For sure not my last trip!! Thanks 💙
This last trip to Norway was my third sail with Naleia Yachting and the trips and destinations just keep getting better. The off the beaten paths adventures, hikes, enjoyable and challenging sailing opportunities are not to be missed. Domenic and gang are professional, well-organised and bring their own personalities and ways to conducting their sails. A great experience thus far and looking forward to many more fun explorations.
Naleia is perfect. The skippers are professional and competent, yet fun loving and eager to ensure their crew have a fabulous holiday.
Naleia is friendly, inclusive, environmentally friendly and genuinely care about the oceans they sail in.
Thank you for our 4th trip with you.
Many thanks to Naleia for organising this great week around Malta and Sicily, the balance between sailing and visits on the ground was perfect to discover a piece of each island. A particular big up to Nico for being a fantastic almost local guide, musician and skipper always understanding and putting security and navigation theory as a priority. Great experience!
Naleia travel is original, amazing prices and great fun. For real explorers 😉 I can highly recommend them and hopefully I can join one of the next sailing trips as well!!!
Naleia is awesome for everyone who enjoys traveling and a little adventure. I've been on the first trip to Croatia and it is great to see how far Naleia has come since. There is a variety of routes, I like the idea of social deposit scheme and it always attracts nice lovely people to share the trip with. Skippers are top notch and you will be able to balance learning how to sail with a few relaxing days at the sea with all it's joys. I'm now on the way to Thailand trip and can't wait to start
I did the "Safe Haven Sailing Course" with Dominic which was incredibly insightful and fun. Dom was keen on teaching as much as possibly within our week, and for me, that's exactly what I was looking for. We did theory around breakfast, sailed and maneuvered during day and sometimes into the night. Excellent opportunity to get practical on the yacht. Cool crew. Would and will do it again!
I usually fly solo when traveling, and it never occurred to me to sign up for a package tour. But I took a gamble here and Naleia exceeded my expectations. They have somehow figured out how to get adults to buy into a sincere spirit of group adventure and camaraderie without it ever feeling forced. And obviously, the locations are beautiful, the other people are engaging, the sailing is fun (you'll grow in confidence throughout the week), and it's clear that the Dominick and his team really care about the experience they are creating. You can easily do this trip alone, with friends, or with your significant other. I'm sure I'll sail with them again.
Great experience ! Wonderful moments ....

Very efficient organisation and friendly communication in the run up to the trip. All questions were covered. The trip itself was absolutely awesome! Sardinia and Corsica are stunning locations with great winds for thrilling sailing! Nico knew the best locations to take us and provided clear and enthusiastic instruction on how to sail for novice sailors, like me, who were keen to learn the mechanics behind sailing. I had the best time, thank you!
I'll be back! 🙂
Stop thinking about sailing with Naleia... and just book it. You’ll love it!Your fellow crew members are a wonderful bunch – and we had the most laid-back skipper ever to roam the Med. The scenery is amazing and varied: you’ll moor-up in a port one night amongst super-yachts then drop anchor the following night in a nearly-deserted bay. You’ll learn so much if you’ve never sailed before, but it’s all really relaxed.I’m so glad I took the plunge – you will be too.Maybe see you out there one day soon...
Dominik has an amazingly ability to make everyone feel included and have a great time while also teaching new skills. But the best part is that people grow and learn new skills for life and learn things about themselves without even knowing. I’m already booked on another trip and have made new connections with people that I know will be friends for life. Thank you all.
Well organised trip, with Dominik competently answering all questions before the trip. Skipper Nico with endless patience to teach the basics of sailing to complete Newbies - I'll be back!
was an excellent experience again sailing with Naleia! amazing people in a beautiful place and exceptional wild life! thanks Dominik for organising that trip.
Looking forward to the next trip!
Loved the sailing trip to Azores.Dominik and the crew were amazing! We had a beautiful experience whalewatching and learning the basics of sailing.I'll definitely sail with Naleia again!! 🙂
Having done the 'Same Same' tour in Thailand. It was one of the most amazing experiences we had. The snorkeling was beautifull and we saw so many fishes and coral. The group of people we were with was great and spending time with experienced skippers we learned a lot about sailing. I highly reccomend it.

One tip, do bring your seasick pills if you are sensitive to that. You don't want to recover from your seasickness while the rest of us is swiming in bioluminescent glow in the dark plankton and having an amazing time ;).

Cheers, Marga and Joao

A great way to meet new people in a fun and easy to learn environment. I did a sailing charter with Naleia in the Cyclades and we had an amazing time. I was very lucky to have a crew of my own frame of mind; not shy of being themselves, open and honest, musical and fun! This sort of packaged deal was completely new for me; I'm normally a budget backpacker, but this didn't fail to disappoint with everything from surfing with dolphins under sail to quad biking around the springladen fields of Naxos.
The prospect of cooking was daunting but in hindsight a fun teambuilding routine. Nico our skipper was very professional and cool headed, with great communication and a tailored trip to the preferences of the crew (plus a great guy to hang out with socially which makes a big difference).
Definately look forward to sailing again with Naleia at some point!
As a Newbie sailor I was a little concerned about joining a crew. However I need not have worried. Niko the Skipper was very kind and understanding and I soon fitted in to the crew. The sailing was wonderful and even the motor sailing had its good points. The food on board (provided enthusiastically by the other crew members, my skill is in the cleaning and washing up) was excellent as was the weather. I learned a great deal and it was good to visit Greece again after many years. A bit sad to see how tourism has taken over but my previous visit was in the 70's. I would thoroughly recommend Naleia.
I had such a great trip with Naleia! My friends and I sailed in Thailand with them. It was wonderful. Our skippers Marc and Nico are the friendliest, most fun and professional people. Being on a boat for 10 days is an intense experience, exciting and deeply relaxing at the same time!

Sailing is such a gentle way of traveling, you have to be in tune with nature. Our skippers managed to avoid most mass tourism by arriving at our destinations for the night just when everyone else was leaving. This meant that we had the most beautiful islands to ourselves. Thailand is such beautiful country and the islands we discovered were absolutely stunning. I especially loved snorkeling in Ko Ha.

On top of all the wonderful experiences we learned about sailing. Hoisting the main sail, standing at the helm, doing tacks, ankering etc are all very empowering experiences!

I absolutely loved the trip and am planning to go on other trips with Naleia!
Great sailing experience.. well not too much wind in the Seychelles in February but still an awesome trip! And Nico's a 5 star skipper 🙂
I have travelled in three occasions with Naleia (destinations: Croatia and Sicily) and it has always been a wonderful experience.
All the details are well arranged, while leaving room for improvisation and adventure, as the skippers trace the best route according to winds and spots around. You’ll be part of the crew and learn sailing (it’s perfectly ok if you don’t have a clue 🙂
Incredible landscapes, interesting chats, games, nice villages, azure waters, swimming, snorkeling, relaxing, cooking improvisation and lots lots of fun!!
Amazing sailing trips with the best people from all over the world, and best destinations. If you like sailing don't think twice!
I definitely recommend travelling with them and for sure I’ll do it again.
Sailing with Naleia is an unforgettable experience!
Dominik and the entire crew at Naleia Yachting are a quality operation. I had the most wonderful sailing vacation with a variety of fellow adventurers from around the globe on our 'Out and About' cruise in Croatia in the beginning of September. Dominik did a great job pairing solo, group, and couple travelers together (a good range of nationalities, ages 27-78 with most falling in their 30's and early 40's) across the three boats in our flotilla. Not to mention choosing our fantastic route around the islands off the coast of Croatia (Split, Trogir, Hvar, Korcula) as well as the small, off-the-beaten-path bays, swimming stops and restaurants for our group to enjoy the mediterranean without a constant onslaught of tourists. If you're looking for a vacation just to sit in the sun on a boat and drink all day with people in their 20's, look elsewhere. However, for those looking to relax while also having the benefit of actually doing the (fun!) work to sail the boat, shopping for your own food and cooking on board, learning from others, and not doing the typical 'touristy' thing, then this is definitely the trip for you. It was an intimate adventure experience in a new place that made me fall in love with sailing even more, as well as appreciate my surroundings in a new way while thoroughly enjoying the company of my fellow crew.
I had the best time in Croatia. If you ever had the thought to try sailing, I can thoroughly recommend Naleia! The organisation is superb, the people are warm and open and you will learn much more than just the sailing itself. Personal highlights include spotting dolphins, feeling us come together as a team, swimming in deep blue waters and enjoying local restaurants in remote locations accessible by the sea.
I just went to Croatia with Naleia and I can honestly say it was the best vacation I've ever had. It was the perfect mixture of adventure and relaxation. Dominik and Marc were fantastic skippers, and yacht life is the best life! Equally as important is the community that Naleia cultivates, we traveled with a great group of diverse people who were interesting, easygoing, and fun to spend time with. I will definitely be sailing with the Naleia crew again soon.
I joined the Croatia Sunset Route with Naleia having never sailed in my life before and finished as a competent crew member of a fun and international team of new friends. I’d thought about joining a party cruise and seeing some beautiful scenery along the way but the connection with nature and the flexibility of being on two small yachts was so much better as we were able to visit tiny local villages and go swimming and snorkelling in bays that would have been inaccessible otherwise.Learning to sail – great!Making new international friends – great!Flexible personalised routes - great!Professional organisation – great!Beautiful Croatian scenery – great!

I went on a trip to Croatia having never sailed before and couldn't have had a more positive experience. The skippers were friendly and happy to teach, the boat quickly became a team and a lot of thought was put into the program of the day! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an adventure on the high seas with a great bunch of people.
A friend of me told me about Naleia. I've booked a trip in Greece this summer and it was really amazing! Great organizazion, the competent skipper will teach you how to sail and there is no problem if you don't have experience with that. We have visited a lot of beautiful bays, and harbours around the greek islands. It was definetly not my last trip! Hope to meet you as soon as possible again! 🙂
I went on a week trip in Greece, and would definitely recommend sailing with Naleia! Great organization, very kind, fun and interesting people, and amazing places.Personally, it was quite a different travel experience, which I welcomed since that was what I was looking for. Also, you don't need previous sailing experience. Learning is really fun!It was great, I'm looking forward to doing it again!
Went on a trip with Naleia in Greece - organisation was without a hitch, staff was excellent, my fellow travellers were all lovely open-minded people; can't think of a single criticism for the entire experience!Went once, would definitely go again! There aren't many better ways to spend a vacation! Also, no sailing (or even swimming!) experience necessary.Pictured are some of the lovely places we visited - all yours to experience and just a sailing trip away :)!

Congratulations if you decided to go on a Naleia Yachting trip!
This is one of the most awesome ways to spend a hollidays and discover a country with another point of view. Life on the islands will make you experience for example the slowness of time, the saltyness of the seas, the tastyness of freshly cooked food, the lovelyness of lasting friendships, and the cozyness of spending time in the tiny boat quarters. The organisation is professional, yet flexible. Highly recommended! Hope to be able to join again in the coming years
Stunning Croation backdrop, incredible Captain (Dominik) so many laughs and good times. I learnt the sailing basics and would happily go back for more. The experience stays with you long after you leave the boat...book now!
This company is great example of people who try to make life better. If you are tired of your present life and feel depressed want to change something or just have some free time to re-charge your battery You cannot find better people to help you. Sailing is most grateful thing on earth with helps to serve many problems and those guys and girls are one of the best in Europe
You don't have to be a natural born sailor or the biggest daredevil to go on a Naleia trip. If you're in for a week of amazing nature, breathtaking landscapes, unexpected encounters with people from different countries and backgrounds, and lots of good vibes and fun, this is your kind of sailing trip. Let Naleia take care of it, they know all about it.
2014 I went sailing with Naleia to Croatia. One of the best thing I have ever done in my life. 7 days of sailing was magical. We steered our yacht against turbulent waves with laughter, energy and joy. Every afternoon after a good day of sailing it was time to embrace the waves personally by diving in the sea. When we finally reached a shore in the evening, the fun just got started. Crazy parties, innovative games and finger licking food were on the menu every evening. After 7 days of total madness Naleians became family, Croatia became home and the sea became a friend. I realise how essential this trip was for me to disconnect from work stress and come back to daily life with exuberance. Thanks Naleia for an experience of lifetime.
I have had two beautiful holidays, we have visit beautiful places in Croatia. the sailing conditions were great and with the mixed international group there was always a nice vibe on board when we visited the small villages. the experienced skippers were benevolent to learn us to sail and gave me a safe feeling on board I would definitely recommend to sail with Naleia.
It is an amazing experience every time. Every time to open a new something. Meet new people or to meet old friends. And of course, the sea. Sail on a yacht or to spend the night in the sea anchor, prepare breakfast or lunch on the boat it thrills. It becomes part of your life. Part of you. I am very grateful to Dominic and to all who help to organize a trip to all who participate in it. This requires courage and an open heart. See you on board.
