Things To Do On This Sailing Trip
Explore Brittany on a shared sailboat and meet likeminded people. Be a part of the sailing crew and learn how to hoist the sails, handle the yacht, take the helm and help with all everyday duties. Socialize on board with your crew and make the best out of your time under the sails.
Sail the tidal waters, calculate your port entry windows and make use of the tides to aid your navigation. Moor up the river estuaries and go on land to visit a seafood restaurant. Pass the river locks, moor in medieval ports and walk through the old towns making you feel like travelling back in time.
Explore oldest structures which are to be seen on earth and spend a night on anchor nearby. Sail to delightful summer anchorages, stroll through fishing villages and enjoy the café culture. Explore rocky inlets on the biggest of Brittany`s islands and hike the coastal path to some remote beaches.

Extra Activities
Sailing is fun not only due to the wind, ropes and people who join us. We like to be creative with our time on board. Feel free to suggest even the most crazy of ideas! We like to experiment!
Megalithic Structures
Other megalithic structures can be found nearby: in Locmariaquer and Carnac towns.
Celtic Festival in Lorient
In the first days of August an international Celtic festival in Lorient takes place. Feel free to visit!
Ship Wrecks Graveyard
It is a wonderful half-day excursion. You will find it up the river Le Blavet, upstream from the city of Lorient.
Chateau De Fougeres
On the border between Brittany and the rest of France many castles await to be visited.
Mont Saint Michel
This tidal-accessible caste is very close to the border of Brittany and Normandy. It is a must see if you have some spare time.
Jamming
Bring your instruments and let’s sing it out loud! Bottles, winches, cans, clapping and singing is highly encouraged.
Fender flights
Highly dangerous, so only for the agile ones. Fender flights are an exciting way to spend a windless afternoon.
Regatta
At the end of the week we always try to have a little regatta. Skippers ought to have taught you enough by now to feel confident and safe.
Beer O`Clock
When it comes, it comes. A perfectly chilled beer puts out your thirst like nothing else. It also replenishes electrolytes!
Enjoying the water
Dive in and lay back. The salty water will help you to float and enjoy the refreshment.
Climbing the mast
Either underway or at anchor you are free to climb the mast. We actually will give you harness and winch you up, so no worries. It`s safe.
Progressive dinner
One boat cooks the starters, one boat does the main and one dessert. We all hop from one boat to another and enjoy a full dinner!
Composing Naleia songs
We always encourage people to do music and some of you surprised us with actually writing some pieces. Thanks!
Sunrise sailing
Not obligatory to get up and not always possible but sunrise sailing is a very special little event. Pssst, let others enjoy it in silence.
Water guns
Hopefully not only you brought one along. If not for splashing others, it is very useful to splash your own feet and cool them down from time to time.
Life On Board
Living on a yacht is a bit different to living in a house. You will live on the blue side of the sea, and have the sea as your backyard. Sailing frees the spirit and strengthens the mind. It decreases privacy, so hiccups, quirks and weaknesses are rapidly exposed. It`s definitely not for everyone, but everyone who tried it learned a lot about themselves. Therefore, do not wait till your life responsibilities anchor you and take the plunge. You are welcome.
People to meet
We are open to anyone who is open. If you are ready to share a yacht for a week, be honest, true and enjoy yourself, join us. We immediately assume you to be a friend and ask you to do the same. We all love exploring the nature and stepping out of our comfort zone to face new experiences. Our sailing trips are about meeting that magical sort of people, Naleians.
